I would like to be able to exclude all podcasts from Roon. I listen to Podcasts in the car but not at home so not seeing them would be a nice choice.
Maybe it is possible to show/hide certain parts, like podcasts, based on the location.
If it is connected to the home network or based on the gps or ip location.
Simplest solution, locate them outside the watched folder tree.
They are part of the default iTunes structure.
Do they appear in iTunes?
You could put a “.” at the beginning of the podcast folder-names and Roon will ignore them.
Yes they appear in iTunes and have to in the iTunes location so that they load onto my iPhone. I can’t do anything inside of the iTunes folder structure or I will break iTunes.
Then all that’s left is to add a Podcast tag from within Roon and exclude it from album browse using Focus.
Not really useful as I don’t use Focus and podcasts come and go quite frequently. I would rather have the ability in Roon to just ignore them altogether.
