It is possible to add chromecast endpoints in Roon but it would be awesome if it would work the other way so that other Roon endpoints are exposed in google home in a way they are recognized as cast enabled devices by any 3rd party app like spotify or soundcloud.
This would:
- make my geeky access points accessible for regular people’s tools
- solve the integration issues for the likes of soundcloud, spotify, youtube, … whatever you like
- integrate Roon in the google home ecosystem
- possibly solve issue that RAAT and chromecast endpoints cannot be grouped by creating a group in google and combining the old and new roon cast enabled devices into this new group and then add the combined group as a Roon endpoint over chromecast
