I’m being a bit mischievous here. Not really a favourite album cover but one I ended up having to hide from my four year old son. The first time he saw it he completely freaked out. Ran from the room absolutely terrified of the image and continued to be terrified to the point I had to remove it and hide it away. Months later his older sister, as a tease, showed it to him again and same effect, absolute terror. Never saw any album cover have this sort of impact on anyone.

Always one of my favourites, the original release was a circular tin , I believe

Indeed, great album.
Vinyl came in a paper circular sleeve that opens out into 5 panels.

I have a 1968 Dutch stereo pressing on Immediate with grey labels. Vinyl is still VG+ but the sleeve has seen better days.

The 1968 UK Mono on Immediate lilac labels is where the money is at.

And here is an original tobacco tin from back in the day:

Joe Walsh: “Celebrating 40 years since the release of my 4th studio album, But Seriously, Folks… ?? I’ll never forget what a challenge it was to capture the album’s cover. Long before the days of photoshop, we had to weigh everything down as I sat at the bottom of the pool and nearly drowned. Proud to say I’m STILL sane after all I’ve been through!”
