This is somewhere between feedback and a feature request:
Folder browsing is in itself not very useful to me, but it could be if there was an option to transfer from a folder view into the Album/Artist/Track etc views that we are used to, but keeping the “browsed to”-folder as a focus criteria.
Let’s say that i organise my music by Genre and in Roon i browse to my local storage and the folder “Folk”. I want to be able to view my albums which are stored under this folder, but in Roons excellent Album view. (Or Artists, Composer etc…)
I did this originally by registering storage locations for each subfolder on the first level, but it wasn’t very effective in the end, with a large-ish library. With a “transfer” into Albums view, from a folder view, this could be managed very simply.
