Flipbook: an experiment in visual exploration of information

If you want a lunchtime diversion, take a look at https://flipbook.page/ which uses Google Gemini to generate images as you press/click on a section. It feels like a choose your own adventure book from childhood to explore information visually. It’s an experiment that seems to be funded by individuals, so it’s slow and may timeout as the Internet swarms the service.

You’ll quickly see the high hallucination potential the deeper you dig into the base context and click on unrelated elements in the image. So adults in the room beware: if you don’t know about a specific topic, it can and will present incorrect information without you ever noticing it.

Now on to to the fun bits. These topics were on my mind and it was entertaining to drill down for more visuals. Interesting times.
