I have several albums that are multi-format, or rather I have the same album in 2 different formats. Take Brothers in Arms. I have 3 versions in my library - AIFF 44.1kHz 16bit, FLAC 352.8kHz 24bit & FLAC 44.1kHz 24bit 6ch.
In Focus, I’m selecting Channel Layout Quad, 5.1, 5.0 & 7.1 to see all my multi-ch albums. Trouble is, if my Album that I mentioned, Brothers in Arms has the Primary version set to one of the 2ch ones, my 6ch version doesn’t appear in the focus list. If I change the primary version to the 6ch one, then it appears. So the Focus is missing all the non-primary versions. Why? The focus should be able to detect any version and show them when I choose to focus on that subset of my library. Any help or fix? I don’t want to have to keep re-choosing which version is the primary all the time.
And by the way, the best sounding 2ch version is the original AIFF! (And if it was in FLAC, it would be the same as the AIFF version)
