From forward slash to comma

Until few weeks ago all the album artists were seperated by the forward slash (/).
Now it seems it has been replaced by the comma (,).

Most of my albums’ artists are now redundant…

Why these sudden changes that mess up the uniformity of the db?

Thanks,
A.

Hi Andrea,

While I understand the question is about meta-data, support still likes the support form to be filled in. I’ve included it below:

=====================================================================

Content you’re reporting an issue with

Have you made any edits to this content in Roon?

Is this content from local files, TIDAL, or Qobuz?

metadata about artists album. See above.

Yes and no. Depends which album. Where I edited the field Album artist I can still see that nothing has changed and it still appears the slash forward. Much content from Roon tho, since last update I guess, is now in the form of artist, artist instead artist / artist.

Is this content from local files, TIDAL, or Qobuz?

Local files. I’m on Roon legacy.

There is no more uniformity in my db anymore plus there’s lot of redundacy goin’ on right now.

There’s no difference between the first and second row. Why repeat the artists?
This is happening now with hundreds of albums that I’m aware of.

Thanks,
A.

Hi @Andrea_Campi1. Thanks for the detailed information. I’m pretty sure I know what’s going on here. We’ve been making some changes to metadata behind the scenes for something coming in the future, but this was unintended (and is a bug).

We’ll try and fix it ASAP. Apologies for the inconvenience.

@Andrea_Campi1 This should now be fixed on our servers; your library will pull in the corrected metadata for all affected albums within a week.
