Just replaced this DS416j with a new Synology to provide more storage space. Unit is in perfect working condition and includes four 8TB Seagate Archive hard disk drives (model ST8000AS0002). All drives have passed their regular SMART checks. I believe if you use Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) the maximum storage space with the four drives is 16TB (2-disk fault tolerance). The unit has been reset and the drives wiped, ready for network install of the OS (DSM 7.0).
Original price was about $1200 for everything. Asking $600 + shipping.
Includes power cord, power adapter, LAN cable, and a bag of extra screws. I don’t have the original box but will pack properly for shipping. Will ship with the drives removed and packed in individual antistatic sleeves and boxes.
