Late reply. The tinkering spirit in me made me install UEFI boot and use ARC via Tailscale. All seems to be working fine. How safe is Tailscale? should I worry at all? I’ve signed up to Tailscale via my Apple account.
Tailscale is safe but I would also create a passkey for Tailscale in case you lose access to your Apple account. I used to use Microsoft to log in to Tailscale but when I moved my email across to a different email provider I also lost the authentication needed to log in to Tailscale. A passkey would have prevented this issue.
Why not simply create a new, separate Gmail (or similar) email account that you use purely for Tailscale? That way it wont be a problem if you change your actual email account name or provider.
Easy to do but I hadn’t realised the problem before I created my initial Tailscale.
