FYI Only - Qobuz has released their connect feature. What devices this works with is not posted. Most Roon/Qobuz Club members don’t see this bringing anything to our party.
This is good news. I hadn’t seen the official release, my apps have been on Beta for a good while.
In Beta it was working very well.
A few features missing, such as volume levelling, but I think that’ll come sooner than later.
Working on my Marantz Model 40n, Wiim PP and Eversolo DMP-8.
How do you activate it? Is still only see AirPlay and Bluetooth options.
Need to wait for official Qobuz announcement.
Lumin X1 P-series U-series T3X T3 T2 D3 support Qobuz Connect.
Require Qobuz app Version 9.
I had to delete and reload the app- wasnt given a prompt for this and the app appeared to be up to date. Working now. Of course still easier to use Roon
They did announce it yesterday on their Qobuz Club site.
Damn it. No Rockna on that list.
Matrix Audio also missing
Neither is Bluesound on the list
No Kef either
I suspect many companies are waiting for (at least) release 1.0 or 1.1of connect.
No Linn too.
Loving the new app so much better in many ways. Curation is good, layout is good, has enough info on each release, nice integration of the magazine. Who needs Roon for pure streaming. Have to say I never really explored their editorial stuff before, finding it pretty good and their discovery greatly improved. Their own reviews also good when available and nice credit lists. This is the best service app by far now’s purely music no podcasts or lots of noise. Oh and Connect works really well, any device that runs the Qobuz app can be played to as well like Spotify so handy for Android devices.
Imagine if they add a feature to pickup local albums via something like AssetUPnP
I very much like the newly available Qobuz Connect. It works very reliably in my simple setup: Qobuz installed both on my MacBook Pro and iPad, the MacBook is USB-connected to my Devialet and the iPad controls the MacBook. All going through WiFi, 100 percent reliable. The only nibble is that the progress bar doesn‘t work, but that doesn’t bother me. SQ is really nice!
I truly like the infos available on Qobuz. Well done!
Is this on the iPad or MacBook?
Unfortunately they still didn’t fix the horrible app issue that you are forced to read all editorial content, bios, etc., in German, with lower quality and less content, if your country happens to be Germany, even though the app UI and the phone itself are set to English.
Progress bar works fine on all my devices, iOS, iPad or MacOs and Windows.
