Will Roon be offering a voice command feature in the future, if your main equipment can do this, similar to what Fire stick can do.

And can I get the Tidal video’s on my laptop, the same way that I can on my cell phone, which I truly enjoy!!

I actually discussed this awhile ago in a private thread. I’d thought I’d reshare here. Forget Siri. Amazon’s Alexa (aka Echo) blows it out of the water. It an amazing product that I already use to control my thermostat, and lights around the house. And it does exactly what XXXXXX is asking. I can say, play x album, or song ,artist or playlist (all from my Amazon purchases and Amazon Prime Music). it is linked into Iheartradio, tunein so I can say play WFMU or any call sign and…

This is our official stance on this matter:

This project is in the back burner… It never worked well… Alexa seems to fail badly when music is playing, and the fact that Roon sounds like Room makes it even worse.

We could release it, but it’d be a very poor product. Additionally, no one on our team would want to live with it, so it would slowly wither and just be a sore spot for Roon members who would expect a high quality product.

The idea is great, but the implementation isn’t there…

We will revisit with future software updates
