When away from local network how do i get the best bit rate? Is it possible to get lossless? I ultimately connect to Android auto. I dont understand the conversions going from core to cell phone over cellular.

You can get lossless, high resolution over cellular using Roon ARC set to “Original Format.” You may need an external DAC, depending on the phone. I don’t know about using Android auto.
Go to the settings in the ARC app, turn off automatic quality and make your choices. See here:

I was able to set my playback to achieve the best.
This is from my core to my android phone.
Now what i need to know is how the audio gets from my phone to androit audio. Is it with wifi or Bluetooth?
Is the sound quality maintained?
Is the album art passed by Bluetooth?
