Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me get my old USB Griffin Powermate working with my Mac running Big Sur. I basically just want to use it to play and pause Roon. I know there is an extension on GitHub for the Powermate, but I can’t figure out how to install it and don’t know if it will what I want the Powermate to do anyway.

I’ve tried looking around, but the only instructions I can find for getting the Powermate working were on a Raspberry Pi, which isn’t what I want. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

You can try by following the manual installation instructions for the Alarm Clock extension, but then when it talks about downloading download the powermate instead and use roon-extension-powermate in commands.

But it is for a reason that most instructions refer to a Raspberry Pi, as there are easier installation methods for it, automatically starts the extension at powerup, etc.
