As suggested by @benjamin in WiiM Sound Stereo Pair not working as expected - #4 by benjamin I would like to see the lower volume buttons supplemented with a volume slider.
Alternatively, a checkbox to sync sliders would also work (and make the buttons at the bottom expendable).
