I have not been able to get acceptable audio, even for a bathroom and need some ideas. I’m not looking for magic here, but it is so bad I must be doing something wrong. Sounds like the speaker is under a blanket and voices are especially muffled. I planned to setup as mono playback, but cannot get to reasonable output with all filters disabled. I have noticed Roon sees the device as Amp+ (even though it is configured correctly in Ropiee).

In-ceiling Snell OH-T7/S7 (8Ohm, Freq Response +/-3dB 65Hz-20kHz, Freq Range -6dB 55Hz-22kHz)

Have you got a spare MicroSD card?

Might be worth trying HiFiBerry’s own HiFiBerryOS and seeing if that works. If it does then you can at least rule out any hardware issues.
