However, what I feel is that the ‘snappiness’ of the response from the Core to commands is dulled after about 30-days of uptime. A quick reboot and this is restored.

This is also my experience, a reboot freshens it up again for a week or two. I’m using a 7i5 with 8Gb ram, 60k track local library.

I use a QNAP TS-251+ which is has a Celeron J1900 processor for rooncore, PLEX and AssetUPNP.
It has 2x 2TB SSDs and 8GB RAM 1800+ albums, 100+ 1080p HD movies.

I can use all three output channels and the CPU and RAM never exceed 20-30% and the CPU generally stays below 10% when playing.

Fair to say i don’t use DSP or multiroon etc. and when/IF index the whole 1800+ albums the processor runs at 99% and it takesa about 5 hours to run its course. I have never had any lag or quality issues playing music at the same time whiles it at running at 99%.
