How do I combine multiple discs into a single album?

I have burned a large number of multi-disc albums but Roon does not always combine them. This is particularly a problem for classical and opera releases, even though in my experience they are well known (albeit often 15 to 25 years old).

What is the best way to do that?
Thanks much to the Roon community. It’s fantastic!

I think best would be to get your files/folders/metadata right:

If you just want to make it “right” in Roon then:

Early this year I’ve ripped my whole CD collection into uncompressed FLAC using dBpoweramp and its accompanying tagging program PerfectTunes. I have also used jRiver Media Center to get the tags right for my other local files. Including compilations.

It sounds to me that you’ll need to do some tagging as well. However I find Roon’s tagging options to be not up to the task.

SongKong music tagger will let you do this in one go over your whole music collection, it comes with a special roon profile designed to give the best results for roon users.

Thank you!

Very good to know–thank you!
