I am switching from a Oladra by Antipodes Server to a Wadax Reference Server. So the Roon core is going from the Oladra to the Wadax.
I have hundreds of albums from Tidal and Qobuz that I have put into my library (instead of buying them). I assume that all of these albums are in my Roon backups.
How do I get my Roon backups from my old server the Oladra to the new server the Wadax Reference server?
Qobuz and Tidal album references are stored in your Roon backup that contains your database, settings, etc. (Local files would have to be moved separately)
Essentially, make a backup of the old Core on a removable drive, turn off the old Core, install on the new Core, attach the drive with the backup, say yes when Roon asks if you want to restore from a backup and point it to the drive.
There are some additional details, it is best to follow the guide linked below. I don’t know what a Wadax Reference Server is [1] and whether it has Roon Server preinstalled or something, so there may be specific steps. [2]
