How does Roon manage AVR’s with multiple zones

When using an AVR in which different zones can be setup; does Roon recognise those zones? Trying to decide my future setup - an AVR with multi-zone functionality would be a benefit to my budget :wink:

Pretty sure Roon cannot detect internal zone setups in an AV Receiver. It would likely be 1 HDMI zone.

Thanks for your feedback. Pitty though, because then I will have to foresee 3 individual amps instead of 1 multi-zone-capable AVR.

Roon will just play into the amp via HDMI or Spdif input , it’s up to tne AVR to route it’s analogue outputs to the zones not Roon., it has no concept of this side it’s does not control amplification and speaker routing in the analogue domain.
