How about sharing information about the source … local, Qobuz, TIDAL?
Roon has some influence on what it rips and how it identifies locally stored files. But if this is streamed then how it is tagged is down to the provider.
Tidal - but the information is fetched from external provider or I’m wrong? Allmusic?
But I can’t see such issue there… No - I can;t see album also.
Tidal doesn’t present such information at least.
I’m so happy I haven’t sent the screenshot to my friend…
Qobuz thinks it’s ‘pop’ too…
yes - but one of feature of Roon is powerful metadata - which is very often … controversal?
At least should be fetched from eg Tidal and merged with other sources because Tidal for sure has very little information about albums.
" Wherever it sits, the Roon Core software will manage the music from all of your digital sources: NAS, HDD, USB and radio. It builds an interconnected digital library, with cleaned-up, up-to-date metadata, which is then tucked up into one, tidy interface with all the rich content that Roon can muster."
Roon would use the tags provided to it. If anyone spots an error Roon would contact them and inform them of the issue.
I thought that Roon doesnt use poor metadata from other services but its own sources merging everything- metadata magic ![]()
Well, you’ve spotted a problem. Let’s see how long it takes to get it fixed!
