Hi,
It’s more or less impossible to find a new RP4 at the moment, and I’m in doubt if I find one, if I should go for the 4GB or 8GB model? Or less?
I’ll be using it as an ethernet hardwired Roon endpoint connected to a USB DAC only.
Thanks

RoPieee support document claims even 1GB is enough. But you might want to be more generous so you have more options for future use of the RPi.
Thanks!
4GB is more than enough
thanks!
I am using a RPI 3B+, which has only 1GB of memory. It works perfectly with Ropieee.
You can always check the RPI-stock via https://rpilocator.com/ . Very handy.
In older versions where you could ssh into the pi, I looked a couple of times and never saw more than 0.25GB in use. Of course ssh is no longer possible but I would be surprised if the memory usage had changed much. I have two 3B+s and have never had any issues with either running RopieeeXL for several years.
1gb of ram is more than sufficient for RoPieee.
Thanks to everyone
