@RBM, I did some a-b listening comparisons and I have to agree with you. Direct play thru the native software (spark) makes a big difference in comparison with Roon-Tidal - digi pro - toslink input. More crisp airier sound stage with direct play. This is even audible for the casual listener.
Agreed. Will not use Toslink Input on Phantoms unless there is no other options. Upnp is the best, followed by Roon via Air, then Toslink. The sound stage collapses, has less air in Toslink.
Hoping Roon via RAAT will be available soon on the Phantoms. Has anyone heard about a timeline?
