I’m specifically referring to Chris Jones and his multiple collaboration albums. Most of these are “XXX and Chris Jones” or “Chris Jones and XXX”. I want to have ALL of these as part of Chris Jones Albums in my library (all local files). I tried setting tags for “Album artist” as Chris Jones, and keeping “Artist” as “Chris Jones and XXX” , but they don’t get moved. Any tips? Do I need to force them to only be “Chris Jones” albums?
As you can see in the pic, the very last album IS somehow listed in both locations, which is what I want to do
You can make a tag and call it anything your want. Then go to each of these albums and add that tag.
I wanted an easy way to see all of my albums that are in Tidal or Qobuz, but not both. So, I created a tag called “No Matches.” Then, I went through my library to find all of these and add the tag “No Matches.”
I use this periodically to easily search each of these to see if another version has been added in Tidal or Qobuz that wasn’t there last time I checked. I try to keep all the same albums linked in both Tidal and Qobuz.
Of course, these albums will not be together in your library unless you use Focus to find them. Otherwise, I would edit each album to have the exact same artist name such as “Chris Jones (et al)”
