How to set roon to use 2.4 ghz

I’m running roon from an iMac which is connected to an Airport Extreme via ethernet. However, when using the app on iPhone 12 Pro the app will only work if the phone is connected to the 5 ghz channel. How do I change this so the iPhone Roon app will work on the 2.4 ghz channel?

Are your 2.4 and 5 on the same subnet?

Configure a 2.4ghz only SSID on the Airport and then connect to it.
