HQ Player and Roon on QNAP Server

Hello, community,

I would like to run the HQ player with my Roon. But I have no desire to run a second computer permanent.
About my setup:

  • I run the Roon Core via a NAS server (QNAP TS 251 with 8GB Ram). It runs very stable. Is the performance of the TS 251 enough to also run the HQ player with at least DSD 512? What would be the minimum hardware equipment (=> NAS server) to run HQ Player stable. Bridge is the Cocktailaudio X50.
  • Are there any bridges with integrated HQ player?

When the baseline is at least DSD512, it is not the lightest ones. So something like 13th or 14th Gen Intel Core computer running Linux (or Windows). Or AMD Ryzen 7 or 9, 7000-series. But there are so may different possibilities, that it would need some more specifics to narrow down what kind of hardware would be best fit. Also depending whether you’d prefer to build it from components, or something ready-made. Potential budget / price bracket would be also helpful.
