Both are on the same machine, I selected ‚localhost‘ in Roon as the IP address for HQPe, tried as well the fixed IP address of the server. Currentlx, I assume a conflict with the output device. Roon and HQPe has both the RopieeeXL endpoint.
Yeah. Disable the Roon output device in Roon while you are using it as an HQP NAA.
I disabled the output device in Roon, but unfortunately the playback doesn‘t start using the HQPe zone. The log file shows the following error message at the bottom:

OK, for this you need to contact AudioLinux developer since it is not a distro supported by me. I don’t know either which build of HQPlayer Embedded it has.
Piero from AudioLinux investigate already this problem and assumes, this is a Roon or HQP problem due to the log reports. Not a good situation for a customer just buying a HQPe license from Signalyst.
At least this one is AudioLinux related problem…
I support HQPlayer OS, Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora. Other distributions shipping HQPlayer Embedded are responsible for supporting people using their distributions. (and they should do some testing to make sure things work properly before shipping a new release)
Sorry my fault, because Arch Linux, the underlying OS from Audio Linux, is supported by Roon, I assumed that HQPe runs as well on this OS. So there is no Installation package for HQPe for Arch Linux?
Not by me, some other people do such, from the packages I make for other OS. But such are outside of my support scope.
I was able to identify the issue with the support from Audio Linux, now HQPe is working with Roon. @jussi_laako Your hint regarding the missing certificates was helpful!
