HQ Player version that will boot on RPi 5?

Does this exist yet? Instead of having to install RPi OS and then HQ Player separately you can boot right into HQ Player OS?

Nevermind - just found it and got it to work.

How’s the performance on a RPi5 ? What filters can it run ?

RPi5 overclocked to 3 GHz can do default filters and ASDM7EC-ul modulator to DSD256.

Jussi where can I find out how to over clock Pi5 Hqplayer ?

You can just go to the part concerning editing the config.txt here:

If you insert the microSD card on your regular computer, you can easily edit config.txt on the boot partition. That’s all you need to do (for example if you are using HQPlayer OS)…

Not all units are stable for example at 3 GHz, but 2.9 GHz should work on most.

Just be sure you have proper cooler installed on the CPU and RAM! It will produce some serious heat! If there is not enough cooling, it is not particularly useful to overclock, since the CPU will just thermal throttle then.

How to overclock the Raspberry Pi 5 beyond 3 GHz! | Tom’s Hardware

Here’s an updated guide for overclocking RPI5 to beyond 3 Ghz, which requires flashing of a firmware to overcome that threshold of 2.9ghz

I managed to follow this guide and over-clocked my RPI5 to 3100hz. I have been using this for over a year now rock solid.
