HQPlayer 5 freezes if album changed using Roon

Hi,
I am using an Intel Mac Mini I7 64GB ram with eGPU. My library (flac) is on an external SSD connected using Thunderbolt 3. I have connected my Bryston 3.14 DAC using USB 2.0. I am mostly using default settings.
I have been using HQP4 for a couple of years with out any problems and just updated to HQP5.
After this upgrade, however, I have been having problem of the HQP5 freezing if I change albums (some times after 2-3 successful changes). The progress bar in Roon shows no movement and the DAC shows no audio signal. I have to force quit the HQP and restart it after which it plays again. Roon works fine without HQP.
Please help!
