HqPlayer DSD 512 not working, need help and oh so close!

I’m trying to upsample all of my music in Roon to DSD 512 using HQPlayer, but it’s being output at 256. Plays perfectly at this rate, but I know my DAC is capable of 512.

I’m running an Intel i9 core, 4070 GTX, Windows 11 on my computer and using an iFi Gryphon connected through USB.

Settings in HQP:

Why have you set in Output tab SDM Pack to DoP? Using DoP the max output rate will be halved

If I set SDM Pack to ‘none’ the conversion goes back to PCM?

I think you also need to change the output from WASAPI to ASIO. As far as I know, the only way to pass DSD to WASAPI is with DoP.

The settings getting wacky when I switch input/output.

Maybe the only way in my case is to use my RasPi4 as an NAA output with ASIO input. My computer isn’t recognizing it right now for some reason…

Did you install the ASIO driver for the DAC?

No, I had no idea there was an asio driver for the DAC too. Would you know where to find the file for the ifi gryphon xdsd?

Look at the manual point number 15 specifies downloading the driver with the web address.

Awesome, thanks I will try that out!

Thanks again for your help, guys. I’ve got HQP up and running at dsd512 now!
