No, if it’s Roon ROCK, then no way to install any HQPlayer stuff there. You would need to connect you MScaler somewhere HQPlayer can access.

Any ideas where, cause idea of mscaler is upsampling audio and being connected to Dac.
In that case maybe just to try will connect macbook with Hq and Roon straight to Mscaler. I heard aboutRoon bridge units maybe this help use HQ and Roon

Actually because HQ will upsample can connect somehow straight to DAC.
Will try first MB straight to Mscaler

Tried and connected macbook localy by usb to Mscaler.
See my setup in HQ desktop stillcant play no connection from Roon to HQ player.
If connected local like you are doing now make sure in roon hqplayer is set to localhost or 127.0.0.1
In hqplayer make sure network control is selected.
The output setting looks correct.

Since Roon Core is running on a separate machine, you need to have your MacBook’s IP in Roon, not “localhost”.
