I have a lot of duplicate albums and I’ve stated to identify them. They are so many, that I can’t identify them at once. Is there flag, that the inspector are only list the duplicates, which are not manually marked by me already?
How are you manually marking them? With a tag?
If you manually mark them with a tag, you can focus for [+duplicates] [+tag] then click the “+” to invert the tag to [-tag]. Then it will only show you the ones you haven’t tagged.
I’ve selected the duplicates an in the Album editor ‘Group alternate Versions‘. Ive done it for e.g. 50 CDs. But I have 200 left and I want to filter all duplicates, which are not yet grouped.
If you go to Roon settings, General, and set “Show hidden tracks and album” to OFF, it should hide the ones you’ve already grouped.
Edit: this doesn’t seem to work. For me it always shows all the duplicates even if they are grouped and fails to hide any of them (which is… the whole point of that option, anyone? Under what circumstances is something hidden if something that’s a grouped alternate version is not hidden? My album count goes down by 22 albums but all of my 44 grouped “duplicates” appear under the same filter, showing 44 albums of which 22 are not even counted in the above checksum?)
Edit 2: looks like specifically focusing for ‘duplicates’ is unhiding them. They are hidden otherwise. But that is very specifically not useful. It means you can’t see duplicates that actually still need grouping
It’s already set to no (Show hidden albums). This is not working, as you already hinted. It shows all ‘Group alternate Versions’, this makes no sense. I just want to see the ones, which I have to group yet.
Maybe someone can shed some light. I’m fairly sure this is how I worked through mine, but right now it doesn’t work. I might be tempted to use a tag, tag the 50 you’ve already done then exclude the tag from focus, in order to proceed (tagging new ones as you go)
