If You Use Tidal

Thanks for all the questions here folks – don’t mean to leave everyone guessing

So as of the 24th, TIDAL has removed a significant amount of MQA content above 16-bit and 44.1k containers, but we are aware of some residual and unlabelled 16/44.1 MQA. Our assumption is that this content may stick around for a while, but we are working to confirm that with TIDAL – for now we can’t say exactly how long or whether it will eventually be replaced and/or deleted from the TIDAL catalog.

We are aware that some format information displayed in Roon today is out-of-date but our system is processing the updated information and we’re confident that will sort itself out over time. We are also looking into ways to accelerate that process. We don’t want to throw away good data, but unfortunately we don’t always know what data is good and what isn’t before you hit play. The good news is that you can always trust Signal Path to display the correct format once playback has begun.

Appreciate everyone’s patience as we get this information updated. Thanks all!
