Hi. Why does Roon show the date added as 1 day prior to the date saved to the IMPORTDATE tag?
For example: If I make the IMPORTDATE tag 2023-01-01 then Roon displays date added as 31 December 2022; and if I change IMPORTDATE tag to 2023-01-02 then Roon shows it as 1 January 2023 etc.
Thanks for this reply. I currently live in a UTC+2 zone, so it should not make a difference given the time of day I tested this (around 7.30am UTC+2). It’s not a big deal but I’d like to know if it’s expected behaviour or if there’s something else at play.
Indeed, something else must be at play. I’m in the UTC+1 timezone, and I haven’t noticed this issue. I’ll test it for myself later today and report back.
I seem to have found the issue. If I manually edit the track level timestamp for Date Added in Roon to anything other than 00:00:00 then it shows the correct added date. I am not sure if this is a me only issue, it seems to be. Nevertheless, this manual workaround looks to have resolved it.
Thankfully I am very selective of the albums I buy and import into my Roon library, so it’s not a big deal for me. I use Tidal and Qobuz mostly for window shopping purposes.
Edit: Issue is not fixed. I have no idea why the date added in Roon shows as one day prior to the import tag I save at file level.
