I have just added my old iTunes library to Roon. I took a copy of the original library and the XML so I can delete and curate as desired and the original library can remain intact for iTunes (as a back up system).
In iTunes I had all my genres connected to smart playlists, so a playlist for each genre. All of these are showing up nicely in Roon and I thought i’d be able, for the sake of time, select all the tracks in each playlist and batch edit the albums genre tag… but I can’t! If I select all and choose Edit (from the three dots at the top) I can only edit track options and metadata preference. I’ve tried various things like saving local copies and saving the playlist to a tag.
Can anyone think of a workaround before I start invidually going through 9000 releases… please?!
