Improvments to Play Actions

Hello!

I have always appreciated the “Play Actions” Roon offers, but every once in a while I come across situations where I wish Roon had additional play actions. I’ve described them below. I think these would be relatively easy wins to implement and really enhance the experience of listening to music with Roon.

Since Roon also already offers robust support for toggling specific play actions on or off, I think there is very little downside to implementing something like the following play actions.

Shuffle and Queue:
-Shuffle playlist and add shuffled playlist to the queue.

Shuffle and Play Next:
-Shuffle playlist and add shuffled playlist as next in the queue

Queue from Here:
-Add the remainder of an album or playlist from the selected song to the queue.

Play Next from Here:
-Add the remainder of an album or playlist from the selected song as next in the queue.

I don’t use shuffle much myself, but I strongly agree that queue and play from here would be very useful.

Have you customized play actions? These suggestions are already available for albums and playlists.

For playlists, shuffle does what you describe, i.e., shuffle and queue playlist.

I’ll see about editing the original post to pare it back to “Shuffle and Queue” and “Shuffle and Play Next”.
