Inquire about MUSE DSP availability on ROCK (ref#ICJSY1)

Since Nucleus One only some and Nucleus Titan has all MUSE DSP.

I am wondering if ROCK has all MUSE DSP?

All Roon Servers, whether ROCK/Nucleus, Linux Windows or Mac, have all MUSE DSP functions available.

The only difference is that some may not have the horsepower to cope with some of the more demanding DSP functions (e.g. upsampling DSD to 512).

I would imagine that the Nucleus One has more than enough processing capability to cope with more or less any DSP in the PCM domain but operating on or converting to high bit rate DSD may be beyond it.

If you use ROCK to install Roon Server on one of the higher end NUCs from the supported list such as a NUC13ANHi7, then it should be able to cope with most MUSE DSP operations (but again DSP on DSD512 may be beyond it).

The supported NUC list can be found at:

If you really need to perform lots of DSP on high bit rate DSD, then you should probably be looking at a Roon Server running on a modern high performance desktop PC (running Linux or Windows) or one of the more powerful MACs.
