This issues sounds exactly the same as what happen to others and I have reported twice when the server goes into metadata service update mode. All devices drop off and music stops it comes back after a few mins when it’s stopped. When you check cpu it has one core maxed out during this entire period. About time this was taken a bit more seriously by support. This has happened to @anon15113244 and @Michael_Harris amongst others.
