iOS hardware volume buttons [duplicate]

How do you enable this? My iOS devices are running Roon Remote which are controlling my ROCK that is streaming to my BluOS devices over RAAT with Volume Control set to Device Volume. Thanks!

I don’t have taken special measures or steps to achieve this.

I presume you are using the phone/iPad as the end point. This thread is about using them as a remote controlling another end point and using the volume to adjust the remote device volume.

I am just discovering Roon and that is one thing I noticed after playing with Zones on an iPhone. Is there any official word on this request? I understand both threads (this and the one linked above) ask for the same, namely being able to use the iPhone volume buttons to control the active zone’s volume (slider).
