Oh, i didn’t understand what you are saying… you are correct, the APP has to allow for it. Roon does not, that is the feature I am advocating Roon to add. Obviously it would be iPad specific feature which they generally don’t do (or maybe never). So i don’t think it will happen. The root problem is reconnection delays – split screen is just one idea.
