iPad Roon Remote, stuck on Now Playing Screen, "x" button doesn't respond to touch

I have the same problem using my iPad Air. It randomly freezes and the pause button no longer works. It will keep playing and display album art, but the pause/play button won’t work. Then it will randomly begin working again another day.
