Is Asus now approved for ROCK?

After an email with Danny, he said that they were going to change the link on the Support page. It now takes you to an Asus instead of an Intel NUC. This is now being that Asus is approved and we don’t have to hunt down and Intel machine? You would think that this would generate more attention.

I don’t see how the manufacturer branding matters. The ROCK support page lists models.

Some, like the NUC13ANHi7 are available with Intel branding and with Asus branding. It’s still the same model and that’s what I would go by. (The support page doesn’t say „NUC13ANHi7 only from Intel“, nor is there a link to one or the other in the list of supported models).

I see that some of the „recommended“ links on that page now point to Asus models, which is progress, I guess. The one thing I’d like to know from Danny, though, is an update to the ROCK hardware news that he teased 1.5 years ago and never followed up on.

It would be helpful if the text in that article was also updated to make it clearer that the supported models also include ASUS manufactured models; it currently just mentions Intel by name (in passing) and contains a link to a long defunct page on the Intel website…

I didn’t click on every link but the Amazon links point to Asus models. As always, the support pages could use some updates (but I read somewhere that they are working on an overhaul)

Getting the team to update this to mention that it’s no longer Intel, and that it is ASUS now that sells the NUCs.

We have a working relationship with ASUS too.
