Is Blu Ray Audio better than redbook?

FWIW, ripping SACDs used to be a pain as it required certain models of the Sony Plasystation to do it.
However, it is now possible to rip SACDs using Oppo 103 and 105 players and the process is much simpler (IMO) and less time consuming than that of ripping a BD.

When you rip a SACD, you get a high resolution DSD file. And you can actually get a multi-channel rip.

So if you are looking for the ability to rip high resolution files, you should consider ripping SACDs as opposed to BD discs.

Definitely. Do this with my SACD player, takes only a few minutes to set up.
Now I can rip SACDs one after one, takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes per CD.
Plus it has a “better” audio format (DSD) than BluRay (24bit …).
