Hi Roon community, does headroom management log clipping?
I have some tracks that need 3.5db of headroom when 4x upsampled with linear phase, and the same tracks needed 5db headroom with the same upsampling with minimum phase! I’m worried there may be some that push even harder.
I would like to set the headroom as low as possible (as close to zero) so I’m getting maximum dynamic range from my DAC, and it would be nice to look back and see a log of clipped tracks/sections rather than having to watch the signal path all the time.
Even just a warning that clipping WAS detected and not IS detected would help.
