This is not usually a problem for internationally known artists. But when I take local artists, from Quebec for instance, the albums are duplicated or don't belong to the right artist. For example, if I take the singer Serge Fiori, the albums of the group Harmonium are duplicated and even if I combine them, they remain in the discography as different albums. And several albums on his page aren't even his own. I reported the problem for the band Octobre, but I never got any feedback and the bad albums are still there. There should be a way for us to change an artist's albums and data (like it's description) without having to add them to our library. Besides, it doesn't even work for me. I like everything clean, which is why I find Roon interesting. What's even stranger is that it's not a problem coming from Qobuz or MusicBrainz, everything is correct on their side.
I think it’s a bug somewhere in the metadata and/or how Roon handles it, so I suppose it’s something Roon would have to fix or get the streaming services to fix
Yes, thanks for your help! I have to say, I have already notified the forum of another metadata mistake, and sadly nothing changed. Still, I’ll transfer this thread to feature suggestions.
I’d keep this thread here so that hopefully someone will investigate, and create a new one in the suggestions. Some metadata do get fixed (I noticed a fix for one I had reported just today), though not all…
