If that is high this could be the reason
You can bulk switch Composer to a Roon suported format
I use Bach, Bach CPE, Bach JC no commas that seems to work. Everything else is just Beethoven, Mozart etc
@james_boyd kudos for you on keeping cool in the midst of all this! We are all rooting for you to get what we get from Roon! 
I have a huge collection stored on a NAS. I specify many different “Storage Locations.” When searching for files within a specific storage location I search using “My Albums” or “My Tracks”, then “Focus”, then “Storage Locations”. It works great for me, but I’m not sure whether implementations with your file structure would work as well.
What I don’t understand is, if Roon’s objection is that folder browsing fosters undesirable behaviors, why does Roon allow these despicable workarounds? Shouldn’t Roon do everything possible to prevent users from finding anything by location?
