This is weird.
Some time ago I filled a 6TB drive and replaced it with an 8TB one. In an attempt to avoid confusion for Roon the old 6TB lot of files was labelled Old Roon 3 and the added 2B of newer files labelled old Roon 4.
Now here is the paradox:
If I enable old Roon 3 Roon finds 83,954 files and another 35,567 in old Roon 4 → a total of 119.951 tracks in 7101 albums BUT
if I disable old Roon 3 and old Roon 4 but enable the complete disk a total of 146,371 tracks are discovered by Roon in 8577 albums → that is 26,850 tracks (1476 albums) more that appeared to have been hidden!!!
The obvious cause would seem to be that those extra albums were in the main drive and not in old Roon 3 or old Roion 4 folders but no, careful scritiny on Windows Explorer shows all albums are either in old Roon 3 or old Roon 4.
Bottom line is I have nearly 1500 more albums than previously recognised. That is no problem now I know how to access them but why were they hidden???
Suggestions?
POSTSCRIPT: The total count of albums remains the same but it seems that those “hidden” albums were not beiung dfisplayed by Roon when the two folder albums were enabled. Disable them but enable the big HDD and they appear. I now find there is a lot of editing to be done with them - not done before because Roon was hiding them. Crazy!!!
