KLHI-FM - error in adding - roon error: "Roon could not find a radio station at this URL"

Hi, I copied the URL from the station’s player as instructed by this source “How to Find a Radio Stream URL. Search, Broadcaster Websites, and Browser DevTools” but it appears to be incorrect as Roon reports the error listed. Any hints on how to get this working would be appreciated (info below).

Thank you.

KLHI-FM
site: hi92maui.com
stream: HI92
error: Roon could not find a radio station at this URL
frequency: 92.5 MHz

Hello @Family_Cross , I’ve added KLHI-FM but, like you, have encountered a problem; the stream used by the website is currently not working. I’ve VPN’d to the US but no difference.

The station is all set up for you and if the issue is temporary it should work. I’ll monitor - if it looks like a permanent issue, I’ll hide the station.

Hey Brian, it’s good to know that I did follow your directions correctly from last time. Thank you for your help again.

John

This is working now.

Brian,

First of all, thank you. Some additional questions.

  1. How were you able to identify that stream URL, i.e., pacificmedia below first image. It did not come up in any of my searches. In the page source, I still see the original URL I tried to send you - see second image below.
  2. For me, I appear to be receiving a weak signal if the volume is any indication - I have to double my normal level, i.e., from 30s to the 60-70s.

Thank you,

John

I used https://fmstream.org

Your URL is actually a link to some more java source. If you follow that and explore you would see my link.

And yes, the station is broadcasting a quiet signal: around -50 lufs, vs -30 or so for other stations.

Brian, thank you for the information. I’ll work on ‘following and exploring.’

I appreciate the confirmation on the signal.

John
