A big +1 for Rock City here as well, one of my favourite 80s venues.

Another great Nottingham venue smaller than Rock City was the Boat Club which was out of town a bit.
And then right in the heart of the city were quite a number of literal dive clubs( walk down steps into a cellar).
If these had 50 people in it was crowded but I remember seeing the Vibrators and Adam and the Ants in these dive clubs.
I also remember Adam being absolutely sh!te😂

My dive pub really was more local, The Duchess of York in Leeds. Live acts every night for not too much. Nirvana we’re the most eye catching act I saw there but Bongwater at The Duchess is one of the best gigs I’ve been to…
