I have seen them on that tour as well. At the Effenaar in Eindhoven. It was a special concert because Michael Schenker had just left UFO en decided to join his brother’s band.
So he was the lead guitarist on some dates of the Lovedrive tour:
On the Dutch leg of the tour on February 16th in Eindhoven and on February 17th in Paradiso in Amsterdam.
I can tell you, the crowd went wild when a second white/black flying V was put on stage.
One of the most memorable concerts I saw.

We had heard the rumours that the brothers Schenker were playing together in the Scorpions but was not to be for our concert…which now might have been earlier as we were working off these rumours when we went.

‘Tokyo Tapes’ is a really fantastic live album. The period with Uli Roth has always been my favourite Scorpions period.
My favourite guitarist has always been Michael Schenker while he was in UFO. But Uli Roth has always been a close second.
