Let's talk about what's Moving and Grooving you today [2023-04]

@AMT Hey Lewis Just popped the head up this morning, I’m ahead in the time zone, but always catching up in the conversation.

Can also confirm that the Matrix is a fantastic setup. I’m on headphones/IEM’s probably 50% of the time and it works a treat. This is the bedroom setup.

Don’t always upsample but it will do up to 768 PCM and 256 DSD. (Will do 512 DSD, just not when using Mac)

YMMV but when really wanting to listen closely to something my preferences are 352.8 PCM or 128 DSD on the Matrix.

Yep Lewis. T7V’s great little powered speakers.

Perfect for a 4M x 3.8 M Room.

Thanks Rod
I don’t know enough to know the difference between dff and dsf yet. I will try out various options and see what works best

No difference in sound quality between the two, dff allows lossless compression.

Thanks just reading up about it now. dsf stores metadata which I think I would prefer.
Still such a newbie at this

Lol ,I just pm’d you telling you the same

Thanks for that. It does seem right for me.
Glad I doubled my Roon storage recently.
At about 1.5 to 2.0 GB per version it’s going to get eaten up quickly

Must be 33.33/12"

@AceRimmer Have you got any 78.26 rpm records?

That’s actually quite an interesting read.
And yes I do have some 78.26rpm platters.
And an old single speed phonograph to spin them on though it it is tired…lol.
It takes it about a minute to get up to speed.

@Menzies Doesn’t sound good, hope you have unplugged it from the mains as well as the interconnects to your system just to be on the safe side.
